Early Life and Education
Preeti Beniwal hails from Dupedi, Haryana, where she attended a private school in Fafdana village. Excelling in academics, she completed her 10th grade with commendable marks. Her father worked at the Panipat Thermal Plant, and her mother, Babita, contributed to the community through her work at an Anganwadi.
Academic and Professional Pursuits
Moving forward in her educational journey, Preeti pursued her 12th grade in Madlauda and went on to earn honours in both B.Tech and M.Tech from Israna College. Following her studies, she began her career as a clerk at Grameen Bank in Bahadurgarh, demonstrating her dedication and work ethic.
Challenges and Setbacks
In December 2016, tragedy struck when Preeti faced a severe train accident while appearing for a departmental promotion exam in Ghaziabad. Sustaining life-threatening injuries, she underwent 14 surgeries and endured a year of bedridden recovery. Despite her resilience, her personal life also suffered as her marriage ended due to lack of acceptance from her husband and in-laws following the accident.
Pursuit of Dreams and Achievements
Undeterred by her hardships, Preeti remained steadfast in her pursuit of her childhood dream: becoming an IAS officer. Despite two initial unsuccessful attempts, she cracked the UPSC exam in 2020 without coaching, securing an impressive rank of 754.
