Software company Freshworks has once again reduced workers. According to Freshworks, the measure will only have an impact on a small number of workers and is intended to increase both employee and organisational productivity. Freshworks is a Nasdaq-listed software company.

They continue to review organisational effectiveness to maintain a strong work culture.

A spokeswoman for the company notes that a few workers have been forced to depart as a result. According to reports, the FreshWorks group had not made any significant layoffs and was still hiring for available roles.

The FreshWorks offices, which have moved from Chennai to San Mateo, California, now houses more than 5,000 workers. 90 workers across the globe were let off in December 2022. There were 60 of them in the Indian team.

A widespread decrease in technology stocks has been attributed to worries about margins, recessionary pressures, and US interest rates.

Freshworks is a software firm that creates cloud-based software solutions for businesses. Freshworks, which was renamed from its original name of Freshdesk in 2017, was established in Chennai in 2010.

The company’s product line includes customer service help desk software, recruitment tools, and sales CRM software. North America accounts for more than 40% of FreshWorks’ software revenue.
