Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group, has started an “all-women production line” at the Hosur plant. The company has established this line with 80 workers in an effort to promote women’s empowerment and draw more of them into the manufacturing sector. In a statement, the business mentioned that this was an effort to create a more diverse workforce. They will be in charge of overseeing the complete production of the new engine line thanks to significant investment made by Ashok Leyland in their training and upskilling in core manufacturing skills.
Ashok Leyland’s President and Managing Director, Shenu Agarwal, stated that diversity and inclusion have always been a top priority at Ashok Leyland, and the team has consistently offered equal chances regardless of gender and ethnicity. She added that the lives of women who are given these chances are improved, as are the lives of their families and the community as a whole.
