The sixth edition of the “Seeding Kerala” event, organized by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), will take place on March 6 in Kochi, Kerala. The event aims to advance efforts to develop a dynamic early-stage investment ecosystem in the state and construct a robust pipeline of high net worth individuals (HNIs) and local investors who would be prepared to put their cash in Kerala’s budding businesses.
At Seeding Kerala 2023, there will be more than 40 speakers, 50 notable investors from all over the nation, and more than 100 HNIs, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and corporates. For state-wide Entrepreneurship development and Incubation initiatives, KSUM serves as the lead organization for the Kerala Government.
The main event will be opened by Kerala’s Finance Minister, K. N. Balagopal, and will include discussions on startup funding as well as meetings with stakeholders and representatives from the Government and the Startup community. Anoop Ambika, CEO of KSUM, said that anyone interested in investing in companies, starting their own angel network, or joining one that currently exists is welcome to attend this workshop. We anticipate about 200 Kerala-based HNIs and Investors to attend the event this year, he noted.
Equity Funding for Startups
Also, the conclave will work to find new collaborators for the State Government’s ‘Fund of Fund Scheme’, which offers Startup Businesses equity financing. 100X.VC, Chennai Angels, Indian Angel Network, Lets Ventures, ORIOS Ventures, Unicorn India Ventures, Special Invest, and SEA Fund are a few of the well-known Angel Investor organizations that will attend the event.
The event will provide high-net-worth investors with investing education and awareness, investment and co-investment opportunities with companies, one-on-one interactions with India’s renowned Venture Capital and Angel Investors, engagement with policymakers, and networking with more than 50 investors. Additionally, it will enable them to comprehend Kerala’s Startup Investment Ecosystem, develop as a mentor or co-founder with firms, and join national Angel networks.
Providing Investment Education and Raising Awareness in Kerala
The Stakeholders meeting will identify key elements for creating Investment frameworks for early-stage Businesses in Kerala for the following five years. An exclusive “Seeding Kerala- Investor Café” will be held on March 7 at KSUM. This one-on-one matchmaking event will bring together roughly 40 curated Startups and Investors for funding opportunities and mentoring. HNIs will also be able to join the Investor Cafe to personally network with businesses looking for financing.
The purpose of Seeding Kerala is to give HNIs the chance to network with prominent Investors, Angel networks, peer HNIs, and Entrepreneurs from around the nation in order to explore Investment opportunities and contribute to the growth of the Startup Ecosystem in Kerala.
