According to data from the Henley Passport Index, the UAE has maintained its 15th place as having the strongest passport in the world. 178 of the 228 nations allow entry without a visa for those possessing UAE passports.
Based on the number of places passport holders can visit without a prior visa, the Henley Passport Index ranks different international passports. According to the report, “global travel is currently at about 75% of pre-pandemic levels, and those with the opportunity to do so appear to be embracing what has been dubbed ‘revenge travel’. “
The Middle East’s and GCC region’s strongest passport is the Emirates’, which was last year’s “pandemic winner.”
According to a statement issued by Henley & Partners, “Throughout the unrest of the previous two years, one thing has stayed constant: the growing strength of the UAE passport, which currently sits at 15th place on the ranking.
In spite of the worldwide pandemic, the government’s actions and programmes for new business and investors have helped the UAE experience significant growth over the past ten years, earning it the title of “largest climber on the index,” according to the statement. It received merely a 106 in 2012, placing it in 64th position overall.
