In order to address the needs of the Indian market and mutually agreed-upon export markets, Navratna defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd has inked an MoU with US-based Triton Electric Vehicle for the manufacture of hydrogen fuel cells with knowledge transfer from that company.
According to a statement from the company with its headquarters in Bengaluru, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) leverages the central government’s push for the adoption of clean energy fuels for applications in transportation and energy storage in order to meet the demand for clean energy solutions for various applications, including e-mobility.
TEV has established a production facility and R&D centre in India.
According to the statement, it just entered the hydrogen-run vehicle market and began the process of producing hydrogen-run two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and buses.
