Prathamesh Sinha is a popular name among the viewers of Shark Tank India, a business reality show. He is Shark Tank India’s youngest contestant. The 11-year-old visually-impaired boy from Pune is in limelight again! This time he impressed India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Digital India Week 2022 meet.
At the event, he introduced himself as the Thinkerbell Labs brand ambassador, and demonstrated the gadget called ‘Annie.’ The gadget is a one-of-its-kind Braille self-learning device developed by Thinkebell Labs. The PM was impressed by the boy’s determination to overcome limitations. The product intends to make education inclusive. The key idea is that ‘no disability should ever stop a child from learning.’
PM, in his speech, said that meeting confident people like Prathamesh reinstates his faith that the country has a bright future.
Prathamesh lost his eyesight to a brain tumour when he was 16 months old. Although it was difficult for his parents Deepshikha and Ashutosh Kumar Sinha to find a school for him, they instilled hope in Prathamesh. He was homeschooled until 2019. Later, he joined the Poona School and Home for the blind. This is where he learnt about Annie during the pandemic period when schools were closed and classes online.
At the Digital India Week meet, he was at the stall of Thinkerbell Labs. This is where he explained ‘Annie’ to the PM. Now, he is officially the brand ambassador of Thinkerbells Labs.
