UIDAI announces a ‘Bug Bounty’ programme. It is to find out any vulnerabilities in Aadhaar’s data security system. UIDAI looks for 20 top white hat hackers for the purpose. They should expose vulnerabilities in Central Identities Data Repository (CIDR). It is a common initiative among multinational companies. The candidates will sign non-disclosure agreements with UIDAI. This will avoid breach of sensitive information acquired during the process. Aadhaar is the world’s largest digital identity programme. It hosts personal and biometric data of more than 1.32 Bn Indians.
