India has become the third-largest domestic aviation market in the world. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said at ‘The ‘Wings India 2022’ event.

The Civil aviation minister said India now handles the third-largest domestic traffic after the US and China. Scindia said air transport plays an important role in the country’s economic growth.
Surge in goods carried
The freight handled by airports during the first two quarters of FY22 has recovered well. It recovered to over 80% despite the country being hit by Covid wave in the first quarter.
