More than 4 crore unorganised workers have registered at govt’s e-Shram portal.

This portal is meant for unorganised and migrant workers to access social security and employment schemes.

The portal has workers from diverse industries.

As per the Labour ministry, 4.09 crore workers have registered in two weeks.

Around 50.02% of beneficiaries are female and 49.98% are male.

Odisha, West Bengal, UP, Bihar and MP showed more registration.

The drive needs to gain momentum in Meghalaya, Manipur, Goa, and Chandigarh.

More workers are from agriculture and construction areas.

65.68% of the registered workers are in the age group of 16-40 years.
