Indian Oil Corp (IOC) to deploy drones to monitor its network of pipelines across India

An attempt to prevent fuel thefts from the pipelines and also to avoid accidents

The pipeline network is spanned over 15,000 kilometres

The company already uses sophisticated technology and patrolling to detect any leakage

53 persons were arrested in the fiscal year 2020-21 for stealing fuel

Now, the drones will strengthen monitoring of the vast network
