Adani Group-backed Cemindia Projects Ltd has secured a ₹665.61-crore civil works contract for the Bengaluru Suburban Transport Project. The contract covers Package 1 of the Mallige Line, also known as Corridor-2, with the Karnataka Rail Infrastructure Development Company (K-RIDE) issuing the Letter of Acceptance on October 29, 2026.

The contract, valued at ₹665.61 crore excluding GST, has a completion period of 24 months. Construction is expected to begin shortly.
7.8-km Elevated Rail Corridor
The project involves constructing a 7.795-km elevated viaduct, ramps and associated infrastructure between Benniganahalli and Shettihalli. A key component is a 1.2-km double-decker rail-cum-road flyover along Mohan Kumar Road, between Mathikere and Yeshwanthpur.
The structure is designed to accommodate both suburban rail and road traffic on two levels. The upper level will carry the elevated suburban rail line, while the lower level will function as a road flyover.
The project also includes a double-decker station at Mathikere, road flyover ramps, a Y-loop ramp, foot overbridges and multimodal integration facilities. Additional works will be undertaken at Hebbal, Shettihalli and Yeshwanthpur.
The double-decker design is intended to address land and space constraints in the densely developed Mathikere-Yeshwanthpur stretch while improving transport connectivity.
More Bengaluru Suburban Rail Contracts Awarded
K-RIDE has also awarded two packages under Corridor-4, known as the Kanaka Line.
The first package, valued at ₹342 crore, has been awarded to the RNS-GPL joint venture. It involves 6.2 km of at-grade formation and 3.6 km of elevated viaduct between Benniganahalli and Jakkur, with a 24-month completion deadline.
The second package, worth ₹169 crore, has been awarded to RNS Infrastructure Ltd. It covers a 13-km at-grade section between Heelalige and Bellandur.
These contract awards mark further progress in the Bengaluru Suburban Transport Project, which aims to improve rail connectivity across the city’s expanding urban and suburban areas.
