Etihad Rail has launched regular passenger services between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, marking a major expansion of the UAE’s national passenger rail network. The journey takes about 57 minutes, with trains operating at speeds of up to 200 kmph.

The Dubai service operates from Al Yalayis Station, near Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Jumeirah Golf Estates. Passengers can connect to Dubai Metro through a dedicated pedestrian bridge, while Etihad Rail tickets can also be linked with Dubai’s Nol public transport system.
Introductory fares start at AED39 for Comfort Class and AED109 for Premium Class. Etihad Rail is operating 10 daily services between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while the wider network will gradually expand to additional cities and regions across the UAE.
