Geojit Financial Services has appointed Jones George as its Managing Director as part of a long-term leadership succession plan. The appointment will take effect from October 1, 2026. Founder C J George, who has served as Chairman and Managing Director, will become Executive Chairman and continue to support the company’s leadership team.

C J George founded Geojit in 1987 along with Ranajit Kanjilal and has led the company for nearly four decades. The leadership transition was approved by the company’s Board on July 22, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Jones George joined Geojit in 2013 as a Digital Media Specialist. He became Chief Digital Officer in 2018 and was appointed Executive Director in 2021. In his current role, he oversees strategic initiatives, digital transformation, overseas NRI business operations and customer engagement.
Under the new leadership, Geojit plans to focus on becoming more agile and technology-led while continuing to strengthen customer relationships and maintain its physical presence across India. The company has more than 16.96 lakh clients, 525 offices and manages customer assets worth around ₹1.11 lakh crore.
