Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, the women-focused financial assistance scheme launched by the Delhi government, has received an overwhelming response with more than 1.45 lakh women registering for benefits. The scheme provides eligible women with ₹2,500 monthly financial aid aimed at improving economic independence and household stability.
The initiative, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s government, was approved as a major welfare measure for women in the capital. The scheme was earlier known as Mahila Samriddhi Yojana before being renamed Delhi Lakshmi Yojana.
The government has set eligibility criteria for beneficiaries, including age, residency, income limits and other conditions, to ensure targeted delivery of financial support.
