The United States has announced that it is expanding cooperation with India in key strategic sectors, including defence, civil nuclear energy and emerging technologies, reflecting the strengthening relationship between the two countries.
Speaking at a policy discussion, US Assistant Secretary of State S. Paul Kapur said Washington is working closely with New Delhi to deepen collaboration in defence, civil nuclear cooperation and trusted artificial intelligence, alongside other critical technologies that will shape future economic growth and security.
The announcement comes as India and the US continue to expand their strategic partnership through greater defence interoperability, technology collaboration and resilient supply chains. The growing cooperation is also expected to strengthen ties in advanced manufacturing, innovation and regional security across the Indo-Pacific.
The latest remarks reaffirm the commitment of both nations to broaden cooperation across multiple high-impact sectors, signalling that the India-US partnership is set to play an increasingly important role in defence, clean energy, advanced technologies and global economic resilience.
