Adani Ports is set to develop a 100-acre Container Freight Station near Vizhinjam Port, marking a major expansion of the logistics infrastructure around Kerala’s emerging maritime hub.

The facility is expected to handle export-import containers as cargo movement through the port increases. A Container Freight Station will support the consolidation, storage and movement of containerised cargo, helping streamline logistics operations beyond the port premises.
The proposed development comes as Vizhinjam expands its role from a transshipment hub into a gateway port handling EXIM cargo. The new logistics facility is expected to strengthen cargo evacuation, improve supply-chain efficiency and support the growth of port-led industrial activity in the region.
