NASA astronaut Dr. Anil Menon and Russian cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina have successfully arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) aboard the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft. The three-member crew docked with the orbiting laboratory after a journey of just over three hours following liftoff from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

The mission marks Dr. Menon’s first journey into space and the beginning of an approximately eight-month expedition aboard the ISS. During the mission, the crew will conduct scientific experiments, technology demonstrations, station maintenance, and research focused on human health, biology, and space technologies that could support future missions to the Moon and Mars.
Anil Menon, an emergency medicine physician and NASA astronaut of Indian origin, is joined by veteran Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov, who is returning for another long-duration mission, and Anna Kikina, one of Russia’s leading female astronauts. Together, they will become part of the ISS Expedition 74/75 crew, working alongside astronauts already aboard the station.
The successful docking underscores the continued cooperation between NASA and Roscosmos in maintaining operations aboard the International Space Station. Despite geopolitical tensions, the ISS remains a symbol of international scientific collaboration, bringing together astronauts and cosmonauts to advance research that benefits life on Earth and future deep-space exploration.
