The Indian Embassy in Bangkok has released a fresh travel advisory for Indian nationals planning to visit Thailand, urging them to carefully follow the country’s updated entry requirements. The advisory comes after Thailand ended its visa-free entry scheme for Indian passport holders, making it essential for travellers to ensure they have the necessary documents before departure.

Indian Embassy travel advisory for Thailand

According to the advisory, travellers opting for the Visa on Arrival (VoA) facility should be prepared to show 20,000 Thai Baht (approximately ₹58,000) in cash as proof of sufficient funds if requested by Thai immigration officials. The embassy also reminded visitors to carry a valid passport, visa (where applicable), confirmed return or onward tickets, hotel bookings and other supporting travel documents.

The embassy has also advised travellers to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 72 hours before arrival, as it is now a mandatory requirement for entry into the country. Visitors are encouraged to verify that all travel documents are complete to avoid delays or denial of entry at immigration checkpoints.

The advisory is intended to help Indian travellers avoid inconvenience and ensure a smooth arrival in Thailand. The embassy has urged visitors to stay updated on the latest travel guidelines and comply with Thai immigration regulations throughout their journey.
