Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, expressed pride in his wife Dr Priti Adani’s keynote at the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) summit in Hong Kong, emphasizing the Group’s ongoing commitment to social impact and empowering millions of lives.

From Dentistry to Nation-Building
Dr Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, shared her personal journey from practicing dentistry in Ahmedabad to dedicating herself fully to philanthropy. Her efforts align with Gautam Adani’s belief that the true value of development lies in sustainable impact, building schools, hospitals, and livelihoods that uplift communities.
Growth of the Adani Foundation
Founded in 1996, the Adani Foundation has evolved into one of India’s largest social impact organizations, supported by a $7 billion family pledge. It now works across education, healthcare and nutrition, sustainable livelihoods, community infrastructure, and climate action, reaching over 9.6 million people across 7,000 villages.
Beyond Numbers: Creating Lasting Impact
Dr Priti Adani emphasized that the Foundation measures success not just by numbers but by the stories and lives transformed. She advocated for philanthropy that moves beyond charity to become collaborative, ensuring contributions are part of broader partnerships with governments, businesses, and communities.
Transforming Beneficiaries into Multipliers
True change, she noted, comes from empowering beneficiaries to become multipliers who extend the impact further. By uniting skills with values, philanthropy can ensure growth is not only about opportunity but also about purpose, making every initiative meaningful and sustainable.
