Gautam Adani has re-entered the world’s top 20 richest list after a single-day jump of $5.74 billion (about ₹5.03 lakh crore) in his net worth. The Bloomberg Billionaires Index now values the Adani Group chairman’s fortune at $79.7 billion, signalling a strong rebound after recent market turbulence.
Second Only to Musk in Daily Gains
Monday’s market rally made Adani the day’s second-biggest gainer, just behind Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk, whose wealth rose by $6.69 billion to $378 billion. While Musk’s fortune has fallen by $54.5 billion so far this year, Adani’s has grown by $1.01 billion in 2025, thanks to rising share prices across his companies.

Billionaire Rankings
The global list is topped by Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison at $305 billion, followed by Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg with $269 billion and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos at $243 billion. Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest man, ranks 18th with $99.5 billion.
Adani’s Advice to Future Leaders
Speaking at IIM Lucknow, Adani told students that “the future belongs to those who maximise possibility” and urged them to trust their instincts when “data runs dry.” He said courage, not just corporations, will shape the future. “It’s the bold path, the one filled with risk and resistance, that creates the leaders the world remembers,” he added.
