Kelvinator was a pioneer in electric refrigeration for households and gained widespread popularity in India during the 1970s and 80s. It became a household name with its catchy slogan, “The Coolest One.”

Reliance Retail stated that the acquisition aligns with its goal of making aspirational living more accessible. By merging Kelvinator’s innovative history with Reliance’s vast retail infrastructure, the company aims to create significant value in the premium home appliance segment, which is rapidly growing in India.
