Apollo AyurVAID, one of India’s largest Ayurvedic hospital networks, is planning a significant expansion with a target of reaching 1,000 beds across the country by 2028. The hospital chain, which currently operates 12 facilities with 185 beds as of the end of FY25, aims to tap into the growing interest in traditional medicine.

Patient Growth and Revenue Target
The chain currently treats between 40,000 and 42,000 patients annually. With its expansion strategy, Apollo AyurVAID expects this number to increase to 200,000 patients every year within the next five years. The company is also targeting a turnover of ₹500 crore by 2028.
Cities of Focus
Founder, CEO, and MD Rajiv Vasudevan told Business Standard that Apollo AyurVAID is actively expanding in metropolitan areas such as Chennai and Hyderabad, in addition to other cities, as it builds a pan-India presence.
Position in the Market
Apollo AyurVAID is among the leading players in India’s Ayurvedic hospital sector. With increasing patient interest in holistic and traditional healing, the company is positioning itself as a large-scale, modern Ayurvedic healthcare provider.
Long-Term Vision
The five-year plan reflects Apollo AyurVAID’s confidence in the mainstream growth of Ayurveda-based treatment, both in urban and semi-urban regions. The company is aligning this growth with India’s broader push for traditional medicine and wellness.
With increased awareness of Ayurveda and the government’s encouragement for traditional healthcare systems, Apollo AyurVAID’s expansion could set the tone for more organized Ayurvedic care delivery in India
