A media company called Collective Artists Network has created India’s first AI travel influencer — and her name is Radhika Subramaniam. Radhika is not a real person. She is a virtual personality made completely using artificial intelligence (AI). Even though she doesn’t need a passport or take real trips, she is always “on vacation” on social media.
Radhika is a bilingual AI character, who speaks Tamil and English. She is designed to travel across India and share stories about different cultures and people. Her creators want her to feel real and relatable to her audience — especially Gen Z, the younger generation that values travel, freedom, and self-discovery.
Made for Gen Z, Inspired by Real People
Radhika is not the first AI character from this company. Before her, the company launched Kavya, an AI influencer who focuses on luxury lifestyle content for millennials. But Radhika is different. She is shown as a solo traveler who left a safe job to follow her dream of seeing India. The team behind her says she feels like “that one friend who actually went on the trip.”

What Makes Radhika Special?
Radhika’s creators wanted her to do more than just post pretty pictures. According to Vijay Subramaniam, the company’s founder, Radhika is meant to tell thoughtful, emotional stories that help people feel connected. She is smart, independent, and curious — just like someone you might follow on Instagram.
What is an AI Travel Influencer?
AI influencers are digital characters created using AI tools like machine learning and natural language processing. They have their own look, style, and personality. They post content, interact with people online, and even promote brands — all without being human. Since they’re powered by AI, they can create content anytime, anywhere.
Other Countries Are Doing It Too
India is not the first to try this idea. In 2023, Germany launched an AI travel ambassador named Emma. She is shown as a young traveler who speaks 20 languages and promotes tourism in Germany.
Why Brands Like Radhika
According to the company, Radhika’s biggest strength is her ability to tell stories. Brands like that she feels warm and relatable, not fake or forced. She can post content 24/7 and stay connected with the audience — making her a valuable voice in digital marketing.
