Meta has announced that Arun Srinivas will become the new Managing Director and Head of Meta in India starting from July 1, 2025. He currently serves as the Director and Head of Ads Business at Meta India and will now take on a larger role. He will continue reporting to Sandhya Devanathan, who is now responsible for both India and South East Asia.

Since joining Meta in 2020, Srinivas has played an important role in building relationships with India’s biggest advertisers and agencies. He has focused on key business areas like artificial intelligence (AI), Reels (Meta’s short video feature), and messaging services such as WhatsApp. His work has been central to Meta’s advertising strategy in the country.
In his new role, Arun Srinivas will be responsible for guiding Meta’s business goals in India. He will aim to connect Meta’s products and innovations with the needs of Indian users and clients. He will also lead efforts to strengthen ties with advertisers, brands, developers, and other partners. His leadership is expected to support Meta’s long-term growth in India.
Srinivas holds a postgraduate degree from IIM Kolkata and has nearly 30 years of experience in sales and marketing. He has worked with several well-known companies including Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, OLA, and WestBridge Capital, a private investment firm. This strong background gives him the experience needed to lead Meta in a large and growing market like India.
Meta sees India as one of its most important markets for growth and innovation. According to Sandhya Devanathan, the company is making strong progress in areas like AI, WhatsApp, and Reels. She added that Arun’s ability to build strong teams, drive innovation, and create lasting partnerships makes him the right choice to lead Meta’s efforts in India.
