India issues advisory for citizens in Iran
On Tuesday, India’s Ministry of External Affairs shared helpline numbers for Indian nationals in Iran amid rising tensions with Washington. The advisory urged citizens to remain indoors, shelter in place, and avoid unnecessary movement.
The advisory comes after a stark warning from US President Donald Trump, who threatened severe consequences for Iran if it does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz by his specified deadline. On his social media platform TruthSocial, Trump said that “a whole civilization will die tonight,” though he suggested that regime change could bring unexpected opportunities.
