Aditya Dhar has become one of the most talked-about filmmakers in India, delivering back-to-back worldwide blockbusters in just four months with Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2, the latter still running strong at the global box office. Remarkably, he has crossed the ₹3,000 crore milestone with only three films to his name.

Dhar made his directorial debut with Uri: The Surgical Strike in 2019, which earned critical acclaim and grossed ₹335.99 crore worldwide. Five years later, he returned with Dhurandhar in December 2025, shattering expectations with a massive ₹1,354.84 crore collection.

Just two months later, Dhurandhar 2 hit theaters in 2026 and is performing phenomenally, fueled by pre-release buzz and word of mouth. It has already grossed ₹1,453.6 crore globally. Combined, Dhar’s three films have amassed ₹3,144.43 crore, comfortably surpassing the ₹3,000 crore mark.

On average, each of his films has earned an impressive ₹1,048.14 crore worldwide—a rare feat in the industry. With Dhurandhar 2 still running in cinemas, this per-film average is expected to climb even higher.

Worldwide collections of Dhar’s films:

  • Uri: The Surgical Strike – ₹335.99 crore
  • Dhurandhar – ₹1,354.84 crore
  • Dhurandhar 2 – ₹1,453.6 crore (13 days)
  • Total – ₹3,144.43 crore
  • Average per film – ₹1,048.14 crore

Looking ahead, Dhurandhar 2 is on track to challenge the ₹3,500 crore milestone, needing roughly ₹355.57 crore more. While ambitious, the target remains achievable, with minimal competition expected in the coming days.
