Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president and actor C. Joseph Vijay has declared assets totaling nearly ₹625 crore in his election affidavit, including both his own and his family’s holdings. Vijay’s affidavit lists ₹404.58 crore in movable assets and ₹220.15 crore in immovable assets, while his spouse Sangeetha holds ₹15.51 crore in movable and ₹2.5 crore in immovable assets.

The movable assets include 883 grams of gold, five cars, and a two-wheeler in Vijay’s name, and 3,132 grams of gold along with 134.91 carats of diamonds in his spouse’s name. He has ₹2 lakh in cash, while Sangeetha has ₹1 lakh.
Vijay has also extended loans to family members and others, including ₹3.02 crore to his father S.A. Chandrasekhar, ₹87.12 lakh to his mother Shobha Chandrasekhar, ₹12.6 crore to his spouse, ₹8.78 lakh to his son Jason Sanjay, and ₹4.6 lakh to his daughter Divya Sasha.
He filed his nomination for the Perambur Assembly constituency at Dr. Ambedkar Government Arts College in Vyasarpadi on March 30, 2026, before starting his campaign.
On education, Vijay completed Class X in 1989 and Class XII in 1991 via private study under the Tamil Nadu State Board, and dropped out of Loyola College in 1992 while pursuing a B.Sc. degree. He has no pending criminal cases.
Vijay lists his occupation as self-employed, along with roles as correspondent of Vijay Vidyashram and managing director and trustee of four trusts. His income comes from self-employment, interest, and rents from his assets.
