Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has launched the country’s first LPG ATM, a gas vending machine, in Gurugram. The machine delivers a cylinder within 2 to 3 minutes, offering round-the-clock convenience for residents.
Location and Advanced Features
The LPG ATM is installed at Central Park Flower Valley society in Sector 33, Sohna area of Gurugram. Unlike traditional heavy iron cylinders, the machine dispenses lightweight composite cylinders made of fibre, each weighing around 15 kg—roughly half the weight of standard cylinders.

Fast and Smart Refilling
Currently available to Bharat Gas (BPCL) customers under a pilot project, the ATM dispenses 10 kg cylinders in just a few minutes. It can hold about 10 cylinders at a time and is equipped with smart sensors that notify the nearest gas agency when supplies are low, ensuring timely restocking.
Convenience for Residents
Amit Khatana, Facility Deputy Manager at the society, emphasized the benefit for residents: “This machine is extremely convenient. Earlier, we had to wait for delivery, but now a cylinder can be obtained in just two minutes.” He added that the system is especially helpful for late-night or holiday access and noted that, if successful, the service could expand to other cities and residential areas.
Future Potential
BPCL’s LPG ATM marks a step forward in modernizing fuel distribution in India, combining speed, safety, and accessibility. The pilot project’s success could lead to wider adoption of automated gas vending solutions in urban areas, transforming how residents access cooking fuel
