The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a slight increase in the fee for the FASTag Annual Pass, raising it from ₹3,000 to ₹3,075 for the 2026-27 financial year. The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways confirmed that the new rate will come into effect from April 1, 2026, following the regulations under the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.
Who Can Avail the Annual Pass
The revised fee applies to non-commercial vehicles equipped with a valid FASTag. Motorists can access the pass at roughly 1,150 fee plazas along National Highways and National Expressways. The Ministry highlighted that adoption of the FASTag Annual Pass continues to rise, with over 56 lakh private vehicle owners currently enrolled.

Benefits of the Annual Pass
By purchasing the FASTag Annual Pass, vehicle owners no longer need to recharge their FASTag frequently. A one-time payment provides validity for an entire year or up to 200 toll crossings. The pass is available to all non-commercial vehicles, provided the FASTag remains active and valid.
Seamless Activation Process
Activating the pass is straightforward. Motorists can pay the fee via the Rajmarg Yatra app or the official NHAI website. Once processed, the pass activates within two hours on the vehicle’s existing FASTag, ensuring a smooth transition for the 56 lakh current users.
Positive Response Since Launch
Launched on August 15, 2025, the FASTag Annual Pass has seen strong uptake from private vehicle owners. The Ministry pointed out that the growing adoption reflects the convenience and cost-effectiveness it offers, simplifying toll payments and travel across India’s National Highways.
