Flight operations between India and several Middle East destinations, including the UAE, continue to face major disruptions as airlines adjust schedules amid ongoing regional tensions.

Indian carriers such as IndiGo, Air India and SpiceJet have issued travel advisories after airspace restrictions across parts of the Middle East forced widespread cancellations and delays. The disruption is linked to escalating conflict in the region, which has prompted multiple countries to limit or close sections of their airspace for safety reasons.

IndiGo said it cancelled more than 500 flights to the Middle East and other international destinations between February 28 and March 3 as the situation evolved. Several flights from Indian metros including Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru were also cancelled due to airspace curbs.

Air India has introduced flexible travel options, allowing affected passengers to reschedule their trips without additional charges or opt for full refunds for bookings made before February 28 for travel until March 10.

Airlines have begun restoring limited operations as conditions gradually stabilise. IndiGo plans to operate a small number of flights to key Middle East destinations, while Air India and other carriers are also restarting selected services.

However, many international airlines—including some Gulf carriers—continue to operate reduced schedules as airspace restrictions remain in place across parts of the region.

Passengers travelling to or through the Middle East are advised to check their flight status with airlines before heading to airports and stay updated on travel advisories as the situation continues to evolve.
