Air India on Wednesday announced additional flights to Toronto, Frankfurt, and Paris (Charles de Gaulle) to meet rising demand amid the ongoing situation in West Asia.

Air India Express, the airline’s low-cost subsidiary, confirmed that its services to Muscat will continue, along with extra flights between Muscat and Delhi and Mumbai.

Between March 5 and 11, Air India will operate three extra flights between Delhi and Toronto. From March 7 to 10, the airline will add three flights between Delhi and Frankfurt and one flight between Delhi and Paris. These added services aim to give travellers more options, with convenient connections from Delhi to destinations across India and Southeast Asia.

Air India said it will continue to monitor the situation closely and may add more flights on these routes beyond March 11, depending on developments.

Air India Express also announced special flights from Ras Al Khaimah to Delhi, Kochi, and Mumbai until March 7.

Meanwhile, Akasa Air will operate five flights connecting Abu Dhabi and Jeddah with Mumbai and Ahmedabad on Wednesday. The airline’s services to Doha, Kuwait, and Riyadh will remain suspended until March 5. Akasa Air said it will run Mumbai-Jeddah-Mumbai and Bengaluru-Jeddah-Bengaluru flights on March 5.

The ongoing conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran has led to airspace restrictions in the Middle East, significantly affecting flight operations since February 28.
