Adani Group is working on plans to restart Formula 1 racing in Greater Noida, according to Karan Adani, CEO of Adani Ports. The group is in discussions and exploring opportunities to bring back F1 to the Indian Grand Prix venue, which last hosted the world championship in 2013.

Adani’s comments reflect ongoing efforts by Indian private sector players to support high-profile international sporting events and boost India’s presence on the global motorsport map. The Greater Noida track, known for its challenging layout, has been under consideration for redevelopment and upgrades to meet current Formula 1 standards.

Reviving F1 in India could have significant implications for tourism, infrastructure and the local economy, as global fans and sponsors return to witness top-tier racing action. Adani Group’s involvement underscores a broader push to leverage India’s growing passion for motorsport and international sporting events.

While formal agreements and timelines have not yet been announced, the initiative has garnered interest from stakeholders eager to see Formula 1 return to Indian soil after more than a decade.
