Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India India AI Impact Summit 2026 on February 16 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, marking the start of a five-day global gathering focused on artificial intelligence and innovation.

The summit, running from February 16 to 20, is expected to bring together technology leaders, policymakers, and industry experts from nearly 100 countries. With major global companies looking to strengthen their presence in India, the event is being seen as a key platform for expanding business opportunities and shaping the future of AI.
Global tech leaders to attend
Several influential figures from the global technology sector are expected to participate in the summit. Among them are Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI; Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet Inc.; Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic; and Demis Hassabis, co-founder and CEO of Google DeepMind.
Other notable participants include leaders from major companies such as Cloudflare, Zoom Video Communications, Mistral AI, Salesforce India, Ericsson, HCLTech, Adobe Inc., Infosys, Accenture, Paytm, and Micron Technology, among others.
However, Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, will not attend the summit due to unforeseen circumstances, according to reports.

The Expo is expected to draw more than 2.5 lakh visitors, including international delegates, and will feature over 500 sessions involving more than 3,250 speakers and panelists. Over 600 emerging startups are also participating, many of which are developing large-scale AI solutions with real-world applications.
Spread across 10 arenas covering more than 70,000 square metres, the event will host global technology firms, startups, academic institutions, research organisations, Union Ministries, State Governments, and international partners.
Thirteen country pavilions will highlight global cooperation in artificial intelligence, with participation from nations including Australia, Japan, Russia, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, and Tajikistan, along with several African nations.
Focus on innovation and inclusive AI growth
The exhibition will include more than 300 curated showcases and live demonstrations organised around three themes — People, Planet, and Progress — highlighting the role of AI across sectors such as agriculture, education, and sustainability.
As part of the government’s IndiaAI Mission, the country will also introduce 12 indigenous foundation AI models developed by domestic startups and research groups. These models are trained on extensive Indian datasets and designed to support all 22 official languages.
The summit, described as the first international AI gathering hosted in the Global South, reflects India’s ambition to shape an AI ecosystem that is inclusive, responsible, and globally impactful. It will also present real-world AI applications ranging from precision farming technologies to accessible digital learning
