Kerala will host the Kerala AI Future Con on January 23, 2026, at The Leela Kovalam, Trivandrum, bringing together representatives from across the country and leading companies in the AI sector. Organized under the leadership of the Kerala IT Department and Kerala IT Mission, the event is part of the regional preparations for the AI Impact Summit 2026 scheduled in Delhi in February.
The one-day summit is being coordinated with support from Kerala Startup Mission, Digital University, C-DIT, and other state institutions. It will focus on AI governance, digital transformation, economic growth, public service, security, and sustainability, reflecting discussions that will later take place at the national AI Impact Summit.
Kerala AI Future Con will showcase the state’s vision for AI and its application in governance, startups, and research. Key topics at the summit will include:
- Governance and public service delivery using AI
- Economic growth and industry development
- Digital transformation and public engagement
- Safety, security, and ethical AI
- Sustainable and responsible AI solutions
The event will be inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and will see participation from senior officials from the state IT department, central government representatives, policymakers, AI researchers, startups, academic institutions, and industry leaders.
The summit will feature five major segments:
- AI Knowledge Exchange – Discussions, panels, and masterclasses with AI experts, covering responsible AI, governance, ethics, and public sector applications.
- AI Innovation Expo – Showcase of AI products, solutions, startups, and emerging technologies, including applications in governance, sustainability, and education.
- AI Governance Hub – Demonstrations of AI-powered public service solutions, predictive analytics, disaster management tools, and citizen-centric digital governance projects.
- AI Collaboration Center – Platform connecting startups, industry, academia, and government for joint AI research, innovation, and skill development.
- AI Policy Roundtable – Discussions on AI policy, regulations, industry standards, and collaboration between government, private sector, and global partners.
Through the Kerala AI Future Con, the state aims to strengthen its position as a leader in AI-driven governance, innovation, and public service. The summit will serve as a platform to align Kerala’s initiatives with the upcoming AI Impact Summit 2026 in Delhi, highlighting the state’s commitment to responsible and forward-looking AI development.
