Reliance Industries Ltd, led by Mukesh Ambani, announced that Jio will launch an artificial intelligence (AI) platform designed to allow users to access services in their own language. Speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot, Ambani said the platform will be supported by the upcoming AI data centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and aims to make AI services more efficient and widely accessible.

“In Jamnagar, we are building India’s largest AI-ready data centre to provide affordable AI for every Indian. Jio will introduce a people-first intelligence platform, developed in India for India and the world, allowing citizens, starting from Gujarat, to access AI services in their own language on their devices daily, enhancing productivity and efficiency,” Ambani said.
He also outlined Reliance’s investment plans in Gujarat, noting that the company has invested over ₹3.5 trillion in the past five years and intends to increase this to ₹7 trillion over the next five years. Ambani mentioned plans to set up a hospital in Jamnagar and expand educational facilities in alignment with central government priorities.
Addressing geopolitical challenges, Ambani emphasized that India’s population will remain resilient despite global uncertainties.
Separately, Karan Adani, managing director of Adani Ports and SEZ, announced that the Adani Group will invest ₹1.5 trillion over the next five years in Kutch, Gujarat. He highlighted the completion of the Kavda project and the commissioning of its full 37-gigawatt capacity by 2030, as well as plans to double Mundra Port’s capacity over the next decade. Karan Adani said these investments align with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and reaffirmed the group’s long-term commitment to Gujarat.
The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, startups, global partners, and government representatives. Hosted at the 55-acre Marwadi University campus near Rajkot, the event features six exhibition domes and a main hall, with over 400 exhibitors spanning sectors such as engineering, petrochemicals, startups, MSMEs, tourism, and culture.
