Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums (QM), and Isha Ambani of India’s Reliance Industries have signed a five-year strategic partnership between the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and QM. The collaboration will create a series of Museum-in-Residence programs in India and Qatar, designed to offer playful, museum-based learning for children and equip educators with innovative tools to inspire creativity.

The signing ceremony was held at the National Museum of Qatar in Doha. Both organizations share a belief in the power of education to foster creativity and the value of cross-cultural exchange. The programs will focus on young learners while providing teachers and volunteers with new methodologies and resources to innovate in classrooms.
Sheikha Al Mayassa said, “Qatar Museums and NMACC share the belief that creativity and cultural exchange are key to shaping a new generation of confident, empathetic young learners. Through this collaboration, Qatar Museums will contribute its expertise to the Centre’s educational programs, helping expand their impact across India.”
In India, NMACC will work with Reliance Foundation to implement these programs in multiple regions, supported by QM specialists, including experts from Dadu, Children’s Museum of Qatar, who will conduct masterclasses and hands-on mentoring. Each program will be tailored to diverse learning contexts, reinforcing NMACC’s mission to bring global ideas to India and share India’s culture with the world.
Isha Ambani noted, “We are delighted to partner with Qatar Museums on this initiative focused on children and education. At NMACC, we aim to create world-class educational experiences, bringing global ideas to India and sharing India’s heritage globally. Culture sparks imagination, and education turns potential into reality. This partnership will empower children to dream boldly and learn confidently.”
QM and NMACC will also develop additional programs that foster creativity, empathy, and discovery. These will be implemented in schools, anganwadis, and community centers across India, including rural and underserved areas.
Maha Al Hajri, Acting Director of Dadu, said, “Through the Museum-in-Residence program, the Light Atelier for children aged three to seven creates immersive, hands-on learning experiences. This collaboration extends Dadu’s learning-through-play approach to new audiences in India while promoting meaningful cultural exchange with NMACC.”
This partnership reflects Qatar Museums’ commitment to advancing education and cultural exchange globally and aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030’s goal of investing in human and cultural development.
