Hero Cycles has collaborated with Yamaha Motor Co., Japan to launch the Lectro EHX20, a premium electric cycle designed for urban fitness and e-mobility enthusiasts in India. Combining Hero’s manufacturing expertise with Yamaha’s motor technology, the e-cycle delivers a high-performance riding experience at ₹1.3 lakh.
The Lectro EHX20 stands out with a centrally mounted Yamaha motor, offering better balance and ride control compared with traditional rear-hub designs. Advanced Pedal Assist Technology (PAS), paired with sensors monitoring speed, crank, and torque, ensures smooth switching between manual and electric modes.
Hero Cycles plans to expand the Lectro e-cycle lineup and leverage a mix of retail stores, multi-brand outlets, and online platforms. This launch marks Yamaha’s strategic entry into India’s e-cycle market and reinforces Hero’s commitment to premium, technologically advanced electric mobility solutions.
