Rotoris, an engineering-focused analog watch startup, has raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by Nikhil Kamath (Zerodha), Vivek Anand Oberoi, Venture Catalysts, 100 Unicorns, and Tanmay Bhat. The round also saw participation from over 30 founders, including Varun Alagh (Mamaearth), Gaurav Khatri (Noise), Siddharth Dungarwal (Snitch), Nitin Jain (Of Business), Vishesh Khurana (Shiprocket), Chirag Taneja (GoKwik), Akash Gupta (Zypp), and Arjun Vaidya (Dr. Vaidya’s).
Rotoris was co-founded by Aakash Anand, founder of Bella Vita Organic, along with serial entrepreneur Prerna Gupta and founding partners Anant Narula and Kunal Kapania.
The startup is set to launch in January 2026 with five collections—Auriqua, Monarch, Astonia, Arvion, and Manifesta—featuring Swiss-level specifications such as sapphire crystal, automatic and Q-matic movements, and 316L surgical-grade stainless steel. Each watch will also include a collector’s model symbolizing progress and ambition.
Vivek Anand Oberoi commented, “Rotoris carries the soul of Indian ambition with the finesse of global engineering. That combination is rare. This proves India can build luxury, not just import it.” Tanmay Bhat added, “Rotoris channels ambition, engineering, and bold thinking. It’s our answer to why India couldn’t produce a watch standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the world’s best.”
Aakash Anand highlighted that Indian consumers have long paid global prices for imported craftsmanship, while Dr. Apoorv Sharma, Co-founder of 100 Unicorns, said, “Rotoris isn’t just launching a brand; it’s challenging a premium watch industry that has remained unchanged for decades. Aakash and Prerna have the clarity and courage to build a global category from India.”
The funding will be used to enhance manufacturing and assembly, upgrade engineering processes, strengthen the supply chain, launch inventory, and open the flagship Rotoris Experience Store. The startup will also invest in talent across product, design, and brand to support its global expansion, with the first experience store set to open in New Delhi.
