The KSR Bengaluru–Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 11, has seen tremendous demand in its first month, with bookings exceeding 100% of capacity in both directions and over 55,000 passengers travelling so far.

This is the first inter-state semi high-speed premium train linking the southern states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. In November, the Bengaluru–Ernakulam leg carried 11,447 passengers, recording an average booking of 127%. In December, it transported 16,129 passengers, with an average booking of 117%.
