The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has launched a paid internship drive for 2025, open to undergraduate and postgraduate students studying engineering or science. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a recognized Indian university/institute and have an excellent academic record (minimum 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA).

The internship spans six months, with a stipend provided in two instalments: the first after three months, the second on completion. Interns are required to serve at least 15 working days per month to be eligible for the stipend.
Disciplines typically offered include Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering (for undergraduates), and Remote Sensing/Geoinformatics (for postgraduates), among others depending on the DRDO lab.
To apply, students must submit their applications (as specified in the official notice) to the relevant DRDO lab’s HR division before the deadline of December 15, 2025.
This opportunity gives young engineers and scientists a valuable chance to work on cutting-edge defence research, gain hands-on lab experience, and add a prestigious project to their CV, a rare gateway into India’s defence-tech ecosystem.
