The Pre-Summit Conference on Safe and Trusted AI for fintech, healthcare, and citizen safety is set to bring policymakers, technologists, researchers, and cybersecurity leaders together in Thiruvananthapuram. Organized by STPI Thiruvananthapuram in collaboration with the ISACA Trivandrum Chapter, the event acts as the curtain-raiser to the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and focuses on how India can build an AI ecosystem that is secure, transparent, and aligned with national goals.

The conference will be held on 20 November 2025 at Hycinth Hotels, starting at 10 AM. The inauguration will be led by Dr A. Jayathilak, IAS, Chief Secretary of Kerala, with senior government leaders such as Mohammed Y Safirulla K, IAS, Director of IndiaAI at MeitY, and Seeram Sambasiva Rao, IAS, Special Secretary in Kerala’s E&IT Department, joining the opening session. Ganesh Nayak, Director of STPI Thiruvananthapuram, will set the agenda with an address highlighting the organisation’s role in strengthening secure and innovation-driven AI development across the country.
A strong roster of speakers will drive the day’s discussions. Dr N Subramanian, Executive Director of SETS, will deliver the keynote on advanced security research, AI-driven threat environments, and India’s broader cyber readiness. Dr V Anilkumar, Chief Scientist at 4PI, will outline how scalable AI solutions and enterprise integration can support safe deployment. Other experts contributing to the sessions include Sandipkumar IAS, Director of the Kerala State IT Mission, Georgie Kurien, Chief Information Security Officer at Sec N Sure, Dr Sunil T T, Director of ICFOSS, Senthilkumar K B, Associate Director at CDAC, and Dr Dittin Andrews from STPI.
The programme is structured as a full-day engagement that blends strategic insights with technical depth. The inaugural session anchors the event with perspectives from government and national technology leaders on AI governance and India’s long-term roadmap. A fireside chat on building a responsible AI ecosystem will explore how regulation, innovation, and security must work together. Expert talks through the day will cover emerging areas such as AI-enabled cyber threat intelligence, privacy and regulatory imperatives, and frameworks that help build public trust in AI systems. A showcase dialogue will feature three organisations sharing real-world success stories and opportunities shaping India’s adoption of safe and trusted AI. The concluding panel will bring together cross-sector voices to discuss how innovation can be balanced with trust and security across fintech, healthcare, and citizen services.
The larger aim of the conference is to create a national platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. By connecting government bodies, industry leaders, academic institutions, and startups, the event positions itself as a step forward in India’s push to build resilient, responsible, and trustworthy AI systems that serve citizens and critical sectors with confidence.
