The Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference and Exhibition 2025 wrapped up in Gurugram, Haryana after three days of discussions, showcases, and high-level participation. The event featured the release of several publications and the launch of the PM e-Bus Sewa logo and its official website by the Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power.

High-Level Participation
The gathering brought together Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal, Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini, Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, senior officials from the Government of India and Haryana, and heads of major transport and metro agencies. National and international delegates attended in large numbers.

More than 170 speakers addressed over 1,600 delegates from eight countries, and 25 exhibitors showcased technology and initiatives in the exhibition area.
Minister’s Key Points
During the valedictory address, Shri Manohar Lal highlighted the need for forward-looking mobility planning in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities so they evolve into future-ready urban centers. He called for the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) model to be extended to cities like Chennai, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to strengthen regional mobility.
He also suggested that metro authorities consider premium or higher-comfort compartments aimed at higher-income commuters, arguing that this could attract more people to public transport and support financial sustainability.
The Minister announced Bhubaneswar, Odisha as the host city for the 19th UMI Conference and Exhibition, scheduled for October 23–25, 2026.
