The Ernakulam Rural Cyber Police have registered a case after Flipkart detected a major fraud at its delivery hubs in the district. Mobile phones worth Rs 1.61 crore were reported missing, officials said on Friday. The complaint was lodged by Flipkart’s enforcement officer, prompting the police to launch an investigation on Thursday.

Hubs and Accused Identified
The fraud was discovered at Flipkart delivery hubs in Kanjoor, Kuruppampady, Mekkad, and Muvattupuzha. Police have named four individuals in connection with the case: Siddiqy K Aliyar, Jassim Dileep, Haris P A, and Mahin Noushad, who were in charge of the respective hubs.
Details of the Fraud
According to the FIR, the accused ordered 332 mobile phones from Flipkart between August 8 and October 10, 2025, using fake addresses and different mobile numbers. The stolen devices included popular models from Apple (iPhone), Samsung Galaxy, Vivo, and iQOO.
Breakdown of missing phones by hub:
- Kanjoor: 38 phones worth Rs 18.14 lakh
- Kuruppampady: 87 phones worth Rs 40.97 lakh
- Mekkad: 101 phones worth Rs 48.66 lakh
- Muvattupuzha: 106 phones worth Rs 53.41 lakh
All phones were reported missing after reaching the respective delivery centers.
Legal Action and Investigation
Police have registered the case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code related to cheating and forgery, along with relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act.
An officer involved in the investigation said, “The investigation has just begun. We are collecting further details and will interrogate the accused persons soon.”
