Sharjah International Airport has introduced a new “Home Check-In” service designed to make air travel smoother and more convenient. The offering lets passengers complete their check-in formalities from the comfort of their home, hotel or office. A dedicated airport team visits the passenger’s chosen location to issue boarding passes and collect luggage, allowing travellers to bypass check-in counters entirely and proceed directly to passport control.

Bookings for the service can be made via the airport website (www.sharjahairport.ae), by calling 800 745 424, or through the “SHJ Home Check-In” mobile app. The service must be booked at least eight hours before the flight’s scheduled departure.
Three pricing packages are currently offered:
- Coral: AED 145 for 1–2 bags
- Silver: AED 165 for 3–4 bags
- Gold: AED 185 for up to 6 bags
Additional bags incur an extra charge of AED 20 each, in line with airline baggage policies.
The service is being rolled out in select areas of Sharjah and is expected to expand city-wide. Designed with families, business travellers, and frequent flyers in mind, the home check-in initiative signals a broader push by Sharjah Airport Authority to enhance passenger experience, reduce congestion at terminals, and deliver seamless travel in line with global standards.
