Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani visited the Guruvayur Temple in Kerala on Sunday morning, where he offered prayers to Lord Guruvayurappan and made an offering at the sacred sopanam steps.

During his visit, Ambani met with Devaswom officials and handed over a cheque for ₹15 crore as the first installment of his contribution toward constructing the upcoming Devaswom Multi-Specialty Hospital. He also reviewed the blueprint of the hospital and a proposed modern veterinary facility for temple elephants, assuring full support from Reliance Industries for both projects.
Ambani arrived at 7:30 a.m. by helicopter at the Sreekrishna College ground, where he was welcomed by Devaswom Chairman Dr. V.K. Vijayan and other officials. Due to holiday restrictions on special darshan, he performed a neyy vilakku offering for 25 people, prayed inside the nalambalam, and received prasadam and a mural painting as a token of gratitude from the temple authorities.
Before departing Guruvayur around 8:00 a.m., Ambani expressed joy over receiving the blessings of Lord Guruvayurappan and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the temple’s welfare projects, including elephant care modeled after Reliance’s Vantara Wildlife Conservation Centre in Gujarat.
Later the same day, Ambani visited the Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh, where he announced that Reliance Industries would construct a new, fully automated kitchen for the Sri Venkateswara Anna Prasadam Trust. Developed in collaboration with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) and the Andhra Pradesh government, the facility will have the capacity to prepare and serve over 2,00,000 meals daily to devotees. In a company statement, Ambani said the initiative aims to support Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of expanding the Anna Seva tradition across all TTD temples, underscoring Reliance’s continued commitment to community welfare and faith-driven service.
