In 2001, Shah Rukh Khan purchased a beautiful heritage bungalow at Bandstand, Bandra, for approximately ₹13 crore. He renamed it Mannat, meaning “a vow or wish”, symbolising his dream being fulfilled. Over two decades, with Gauri Khan’s refined taste and the expertise of architect Kaif Faquih, Mannat evolved into a six-storey masterpiece overlooking the Arabian Sea.
Inside, Mannat is a blend of classic and contemporary. The interiors are filled with crystal chandeliers, Italian marble, curated art, rare artefacts, and warm wooden finishes. The mansion features a personal gym, a grand library, a luxury home theatre, a lavish lounge for hosting guests, and an open terrace that offers one of the best sea views in Mumbai.

The design seamlessly combines European aesthetics with Indian craftsmanship, with Gauri Khan herself calling it “a home that tells our story.” Outside, the nameplate “Mannat” has become a tourist attraction, drawing thousands of fans daily, especially on SRK’s birthday, when the crowds turn the street into a sea of love.
Today, Mannat is estimated to be worth around ₹200 crore, making it one of India’s most valuable celebrity homes. But beyond its price tag, it represents Shah Rukh Khan’s journey, from a boy from Delhi with no connections to the “King of Bollywood” who made his wish come true, brick by brick. Mannat stands as a monument to ambition, perseverance, and the sheer magic of believing in dreams.
