Ed-tech startup Physics Wallah, founded by popular educator Alakh Pandey, has launched its new product, the AI Box, an affordable hardware device that transforms any TV or projector into a full-scale learning system in Hindi.

Plugged into a screen, the AI Box provides ready-to-use lessons, quizzes and note-taking functionalities tailored for competitive exams like IIT-JEE, NEET, law and board exams, making it ideal for students who lack access to smartphones or reliable Internet connections. The goal is to reach smaller towns, villages and underserved classrooms where tech-barriers limit educational access.
According to the company, the device supports YouTube and other apps, enabling a flexible learning experience for both schools and homes. Teachers in under-resourced areas can also use it as an aid to deliver structured lessons. The product addresses critical challenges in India’s education ecosystem, namely teacher training gaps, digital divides and language constraints, by delivering Hindi-medium content directly to screens students already use.
This innovation marks a strategic push by Physics Wallah to expand its reach beyond mobile and online platforms, leveraging affordable hardware to create inclusive learning opportunities. The AI Box is expected to become a key tool as the company intensifies its mission to democratize high-quality exam-prep across India.
