Reports suggesting that Lionel Messi and the Argentine national football team might skip India and travel to Africa instead in November are inaccurate, according to event organizers. According to a TyC Sports report, there could be changes in Argentina’s tour schedule, with the first match possibly taking place against Angola, and the second match, originally planned in India, potentially being moved to an African country.
However, the organizers have confirmed that Messi will indeed arrive in Kerala for the friendly match as scheduled. Event sponsor Reporter Broadcasting Company stated that all rumors about Argentina not coming to India are completely false. The match will take place on November 17 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, where Argentina is set to face Australia.
The organizers also confirmed that the Argentine Football Association (AFA) has officially verified the schedule, ensuring fans in Kerala will see Messi in action during the friendly international match.
