Roshni Nadar Tops India Rich List

Roshni Nadar, Chairperson of HCL Technologies, has debuted at Rank 3 on the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025, becoming India’s richest woman and the youngest among the top 10, while leading HCL’s global expansion and driving philanthropic initiatives through the Shiv Nadar Foundation.

Roshni Nadar, Chairperson of HCL Technologies, has emerged as India’s richest woman, according to the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025, released Wednesday. Making her debut on the list, she and her family secured the third spot with a combined wealth of ₹2.84 lakh crore. This is the first time a woman has entered the top three positions of the ranking. At 44, Nadar is also the youngest among the top 10 names.

Tech-Driven Wealth

The Hurun list noted, “For the first time, a woman entered the Top 3 of the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025 — Roshni Nadar debuted at No. 3, symbolising the multi-generational power of tech-driven wealth.” Nadar, a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management, has expanded HCL’s global presence while consolidating its position as a leading IT services company.

Philanthropy and Social Impact

Beyond business, Roshni Nadar plays a key role in philanthropy through the Shiv Nadar Foundation, focusing on education and social impact. Her leadership reflects a combination of technocratic skill and social responsibility, highlighting her prominence in Indian industry.

Women Making Their Mark

She joins over 100 other women on the list, including 26 dollar-billionaires and self-made leaders such as Nykaa’s Falguni Nayar and Biocon’s Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, showing the growing influence of women in India’s economy. Nadar’s debut at Rank 3 underscores the rising significance of technology-driven wealth and marks a milestone moment for women in business leadership and wealth creation.
